‎30/10/2012, Turkey:


 Empty teargas cannister are collected after riot police tried to disperse thousands of demonstrators protesting in support of Kurdish hunger strikers. Police fired teargas canisters and sprayed water cannons to break up the demonstration by supporters of inmates on hunger strike. Some 900 prisoners in more than 50 jails have joined the action since it was launched in September, with improved jail conditions for militant leader Abdullah Ocalan, imprisoned on an island in the Marmara Sea south of Istanbul, their main demand.
